[St. Louis Gate]

Here is the St. Louis Gate. Notice that apart from the people and the horses, the gate looks much as it does today. In fact, much of the city still looks the same. See if you can recognize any streets or buildings in these pictures:

[Quebec District Railway]

At one time, Quebec City had streetcars. The writing on the side of the streetcar says "Quebec - District Railway.

[Football team]

One of the English high schools in the area, Quebec High School, has been around for a long time. It used to be called the High School of Quebec, and was not located in the same building that it is today. This is a picture of their football team, taken in the 1937. Below is a picture of their cadet corps.

[De la Montagne Hill]

This street, located in downtown Quebec, links the upper town and the lower town. It is a very steep, winding hill. There used to be a gate here, as can be seen in the picture. Nowadays, the gate is gone.

[St. Jean Street]

Today, this street, rue St-Jean, is popular in downtown Quebec City. It has a number of restaurants and tourist attractions. It looks quite similar to this picture except for the streetcar tracks and the horses and carriages.
